Pattern Info
Madame Butterfly is a triangle knitting shawl, starts at the center back of the neck to the bottom edge. There is 3 stitches border at beginning and end of rows, using stocking stitch. Shawl increases 4 stitches on right side rows, you will have 4 stitch markers, one on each border and 2 in center. Shawl has 3 designs, the first one covers 75% of shawl, is made using Flower Stitch (refer to Stitch Guide, here on Notes)), to create the Flower Stitch Band, second is the Lace Design and last one is Scalloped Lace Edging.

860yds Fingering weight yarn

Needle Size
US 4/3.5mm circular needle (32”/80cm) or size to obtain gauge.
A long circular needle is recommended in order to accommodate the large number of stitches as the shawl beautiful grows.
US 4/3.5mm straight needle to work I cord border.

Gauge
27 sts and 32 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch
