How to make Back Post Double Crochet (BPDC)

1. Work a row of normal double crochet (dc) for the first row. Yarn over (yo).

2. Insert your hook from back to front between the posts of the first and second double crochet of the row below.

3. Yarn over and draw the yarn around the post.

4. Yarn over and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook twice to finish your double crochet.

How to make Front Post Double Crochet (FPDC)

Work step 1 of BPDC. Yarn over (yo) insert your hook from front to back between the posts of the first and second double crochet of the row below.
