Let’s learn Almond Knitting Stitch! our Knitting Stitch #10
Is a beautiful puffy stitch you can used for many knitting projects, you can see it on my Claire Newsboy hat, lovely brim hat that is one of my bestsellers patterns, let’s learn how to do it
Materials:
Yarn: You can use any yarn to make your swatch, for this sample I used sock weight yarn
Needles Size:
3.5mm
Number of stitches:
use odd number of stitches
Swatch:
To make this swatch, CO 35 sts.
Abbreviations: You will find a useful list of abbreviations on this page

If there is a special abbreviation made only for this stitch will be written on the –Notes.
Instructions
Row 1: knit.
Row 2: purl.
Repeat row 1 and 2, once.
Row 5: k1, *undo next stitch 3 rows down (see pictures) , one by one, take the next stitch with right hand needle along with the 3 undo sts, pass all to left hand needle, knit, k1. Repeat from* to end.
Row 6: purl.
Row 7: knit.
Row 8: purl
Row 9: k2, *undo next stitch 3 rows down, one by one, take the next stitch with right hand needle along with the 3 undo sts, pass all to left hand needle, knit,, rep from* to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 10: repeat from row 2.
This is how it looks the almond stitch after work a few more rows.
Did I mention that Almond Stitch is reversible? yes! you can used by the other side too!
