I never finish discovering new stitches and applying them to different yarns, when the time came to design this hat using the wonderful Malabrigo wool, the stitches spoke for themselves and Mechita made her appearance!
This stitch creates perfect diamonds with delicate bubbles, creating texture and curiosity, the pompom is super bushy effect of the fabulous Mechita Malabrigo. Try it, you will love it and will love more wear it!
Size
One size to fit 19 to 22″ (48 to 56cm) circumference. Length from brim to top approx. 7” (18cm).
Yarn
250yds Fingering weight yards Shown in: Malabrigo Mechita Superwash Merino wool fingering weight yarn (420 yds. = 100 grams) Shown in color: 83 Water Green. You can use any Liliacraftparty Yarns too, find all colorways and bases HERE
Needle Size
Size US 4 (3.5 mm) 16” (40cm) circular needles Size US 4 (3.5 mm) DPNs or 31” (80cm) if you prefer magic loop
Gauge
27 stitches & 34 rows in stocking stitch, using 3.5mm needles = 4″ (10cm)
