1/1RC: Slip next stitch to cable needle and place at back of work, k1, then k1 from cable needle

1/1LC: Slip next stitch to cable needle and place at front of work, k1, then k1 from cable needle

Instructions

Cast on 41sts, you will work 2 sts border each side plus 1 st extra (p1) before last border to make even this swatch

Row 1: k2, *p1, (1/1RC, 1/1LC)2 times, p1, k8, repeat from* to 3 sts, p1, k2

Row 2 and all even rows: k2, work sts as they appear to 2 sts, k2

Row 3: k2, *p1, (1/1LC, 1/1RC)2 times, p1, k8, repeat from* to last 3 sts, p1, k2

Row 5: repeat row 1

Row 7: repeat row 3

Row 9: k2, *p1, k8, p1, (1/1RC, 1/1LC)2 times, repeat from* to last 3 sts, p1, k2

Row 11: k2, *p1, k8, p1, (1/1LC, 1/1RC)2 times, repeat from* to last 3 sts, p1, k2

Row 13: repeat row 9

Row 15: repeat row 11
